little miss sunshine
I dont know if anyone has seen this new ( and my new I mean I rented it) movie called little miss sunshine. I was told to watch it because of how funny it was, and the other day my boyfriend and I felt like having a good laugh so we rented this movie. I must admit I was a bit weary of renting it because I’m not one for the independant films (but maybe I just have bad taste when it comes to picking those kind of movies). Anyways, We ended up renting this movie(don’t worry I wont ruin the story for everyone), and while yes it was funny, I also found that the meaning behind the whole movie was a great idea. It used humor to portray how disfunctional families can be and that it is okay NOT to be perfect, infact, its better! I thought this message was great for a society who seems to strive to such an unrealistic goal. This movie is a great watch, and I recommend all of you see it!

hahaha I really enjoyed this movie. It is crazy how media really represents and kind of “guides” people in a sense to what they want people to see. For instance, in the movie store when I went and rented “Little Miss Sunshine” there were posters and commericals all over the store and even online on their website there was information on this movie. In my opinion, the mass media really does, in a sense, tell people what to see and what not to see. Like the Canadian movie section blockbuster has now, I walk right by it everytime because I have never heard anything about the movies. The only time I would rent one of those movies was if I heard about it, and lets be honest, Canadian films are not very well publicized. I guess the point I am trying to make is that Media really guides people for what to see and what not too see… Which is why I rented “Little Miss Sunshine” (Fantastic Flick!!!)
